Did you know, you actually spend more time at your kitchen sink then your stove?
Perhaps that’s why the iconic Farmhouse sink is making such a comeback in kitchens across the nation.
Kitchens have become so much more than just a place to prep a meal. With kitchens moving more towards large, open gathering spaces and really the hub of the home, don’t they deserve a statement making feature such as a gorgeous apron sink?
With budget friendly prices starting around $200 for ceramic or stainless steel, this trend is one any home owner can afford. However, if you’re looking for a real “wow” piece like a one of a kind copper, cast iron or fire clay sink they can cost more than $2000.
DIY or professional for installation?
We recommend hiring a contractor for this job. What most people don’t realize, is even if they’re able to retro fit their new sink into their existing space they do not account for the added weight. The existing or new cabinetry will need to be significantly reinforced to be able to accommodate the much heavier sink and all the weight it can now hold.

Here is a kitchen remodel that was recently completed in Boulder, CO. We installed white shaker cabinets with a grey glass subway tile. The counters are Group A Santa Cecilia from Arizona Tile, and the stainless farmhouse kitchen sink was purchased from amazon for $330. The floor is a wood look ceramic tile. This kitchen turned out amazing!
